The new 2021 Guide contains contributions from key organizations actively working on children’s rights and safety, including Cyber Peace Foundation, Center for Social Research, Young Leaders for Activity Citizenship, Aarambh India Initiative, Suicide Prevention India Foundation and It’s Ok To Talk.

The guide takes into account features like “DM accessibility controls” that give business accounts and creators the control to choose who can add them to groups on Instagram Direct or send them a message. It also benefits from “bulk comment management” which gives users the option to delete comments in bulk and block or restrict multiple accounts for negative comments. It also comes with other features like Instagram emails and support requests.

Commenting on the guide, Dr Rajana Kumari, director of the Center for Social Research, explained how children today live very active lives online that parents need to update themselves so that they can actually help their children.

Last year, Instagram partnered with Yuvaa, which just happens to be a youth media, community engagement and information company that launched an initiative called “# 366daysofkindness”.
